Beginners Guide to Cyrodiil

Welcome to the wonderful world of alliance war! 

Lets Start By the basics ! 

Siege Weapons 

Burning oil - A defensive siege (really Low cooldown for high Player Damage)

 

Flame Ram- A siege that deals tons of damage on a door. uses 6 people for max damage 

 

Ballista- A weapon against siege and walls downside is range(low cooldown good damage can aim down but not up)

*fire* deals fire damage to doors players and siege *fire damage is a burning debuff *

*lightning* Deals Lightning damage to players with chance of concussion stun' interrupt' immobalize'

*normal* strait damage increase to siege, walls and doors

 

Trebuchets- A great defensive/offence  weapon due to range (high cooldown High Damage) *not effective on players*

*firepot* deals fire damage to doors players and siege *fire damage is a burning debuff *

*iceball* Deals cold damage in an aoe with a slowing effect on movement speed

*stone* Increased impact damage to walls doors etc.

 

Catapult- Great short range anti militia weapon(short range, high damage, low cooldown)

*meat bag* a damage over time hit 

*oil* a huge aoe Snare  ( good to place as a defensive clutch if working with other siege like burning oil)

*Scatershot* defensive/offensive  anti militia placement is key! Huge aoe 

NPC 

In order of priority 

Mages- Light armor with lightning or fire staff (positioned in vantage points in keeps and camps deals tons of damage)

Menders - wearing light armor with healing staff  (casts huge heals and vampires bane ) 

Honor Guards - Wearing heavy armor sword and shield (casts Anti magic dome) 

Guards- Sword and shield heavy (basic npc nothing much to worry about) 

Encampments 

Each Keep will have 3 resource pools control or disruption of one or all of these will have great effects on the success of your raid

Be warned (take the mage out on top of the towers first then *ALL RUSH THE CIRCLE* to kill the menders then the guards ) 

Farm - NPC soldier strength in the keep 

Mine - Wall strength against siege 

Mill- Door strength (note* only the front doors is counted as doors)

Controlling all 3 will cause the enemies not able to travle into the keep

 

Advance Raid Tips

Siege synergy on offence- when hitting a wall or door please only use 1 fire siege if possible (burning damage does not stack)

Siege synergy on Defense-Oil cats + 2 x burning oils will down 15-20 people that run in first 

solo defense- Multi build oils ontop of capture points and get one person the run between casting them

once pour animation casts go to the next pot 

 

Scouting

Call it out on zone chat Call outs like these 

*Farragut under attack* is ok   but! *Farragut under attack 4 trebs up 20-30players* is better

 

Open Voice raid 

* This is the best and the most useful organized thing you can join please listen stick to the group and call out when scouting corners during offensive siege*
